The purpose of the Agricultural Commission is to preserve, protect and promote agriculture in Dunstable;  to provide leadership, technical guidance, vision, planning and coordination to help support, define, promote and enable new agricultural opportunities, stability and enhancement of ongoing operations as well as foster strong community and regional support that will work to create a sustainable agricultural community in Dunstable.

The Commission will also seek further protections for existing agricultural lands, the identification of new lands for agricultural use, both public and private, and work to assist in natural resource management that is consistent with sustainable agricultural practices.
