“The Victorian Art of Pressing Flowers” A Pepperell Garden Club Workshop

Event Date:
Wednesday, February 10th
Event Time:
7:00 PM
Event Location:
Pepperell Senior Center, Route 111 in Pepperell

The Pepperell Garden Club is hosting the Victorian Art of Pressing Flowers Workshop presented by Pauline Bergassi of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Pauline will lead participants in creating a note card made of pressed flowers and ferns. Note cards and supplies will be provided. Participants are asked to bring their own pressed flowers, or pressed flowers and ferns will be available to purchase.

“The natural beauty that surrounds me in my garden has always been a source of inspiration,” says Pauline. Her botanical art recreates each flower’s place in her garden and can be enjoyed in any season for many years to come.

The public is welcome to attend this workshop at the Pepperell Garden Club meeting on Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00 PM at the Pepperell Senior Center located on Route 111, 37 Nashua Road. The guest fee is $5.

Pauline Bergassi is dedicated to perfecting her “pressing skills” after retiring from over 20 years of teaching. She has exhibited in events such as the Tower Hill Shades of Autumn Event as well as many more. Pauline is a member of the Worcester Horticultural Society, New England Wild Flower Society, and many art associations.

The Pepperell Garden Club welcomes new members from surrounding towns. For membership information, please call Joanna Reagan at 978-433-6013.
