The Dunstable Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Dunstable Police Officer Charles Charprales. Officer Charprales will replace Officer Benjamin Sargent who recently accepted employment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) We wish Officer Sargent luck as a new F.B.I. agent. He began his F.B.I. training on August 15, 2010.

Hopefully, many of you have enjoyed a happy and restful summer. With the start of the school year, the Dunstable Police Department will continue to offer the school bus safety program to younger school age children. If interested, you may call the Dunstable Police Department to arrange to have an officer visit your child’s bus stop to discuss important safety considerations when boarding and exiting the school bus.

In order to provide information and keep residents informed, the police department creates a new program every two months ( 6 times a year).
In response to recent bullying incidents, the Massachusetts legislature has enacted an anti-bullying and anti harassment statute which became effective on May 10, 2010. Under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 258E, the new law authorizes the issuance of Harassment Prevention Orders similar to Abuse Prevention Orders enacted under G.L. c. 209A.
